Macally 103 key full-size USB keyboard. With Short-Cut Keys for Mac Mfr P/N: MKEYE OWC SKU: MACMKEYE Features 15 convenient MacOS X shortcut keys for one-touch control of Mac application Macally 1 Year Limited Warranty Ships: Same Day.

It has its flaws if you have an iMac - for example the Num-lock and calculator does not work on Macs; but the numbers work in Excel for Mac. There are a good many shortcut keys also. I really love the forward delete button. I also really love the snap-shot key where you click on it and you see numbers. Move the mouse (with numbers) to the upper left hand of the portion what you want to take a snap-shot of.

Click and hold it down and drag across the top of the area you want to copy and then drag it down to the end of the copy. You must keep your finger down all this time.

When you release your finger from the mouse, you will have an Icon on the desktop (a snap-shot of the area you highlighted). Double click on the Icon and you will have a snap-shot in the upper left hand corner of your screen to preview. You can save and rename the Icon on the desktop, just like any other Icon.

There are no instructions on how to do this with the machine; that is why I am including it here. Internet sites can be deleted with the x (F1). The sound and mute keys are used a lot. The Fn key is used to access the lower part of all these shortcuts. For example on the Mac, the last two shortcut keys on the right are good only when you use the Fn with them to dim or brighten the screen. I have had no successes with them as a zoom key.

With the iMac Magic mouse, you can sometimes zoom larger by tapping the mouse and your screen will start to get bigger and then it will start all over again. For Mac owners this is a wonderful keyboard. As all Mac owners know, every action can be taken in many different ways - this keyboard just gives you another choice. And as for the price; you cannot beat it. Perhaps the price point was a giveaway that this keyboard would disappoint, but I have used $8 keyboards that have a better tactile typing experience. The keys just feel cheap, and there's something in the spacing or the travel that causes me to make more typos than a more expensive keyboard.

Other drawbacks: The forward delete and function key have reversed positions, which is totally annoying if you're used to the normal layout. The function key which is typically above the forward delete has been moved to the row alongside the spacebar and functions with its own custom set of functions.

You can change the function set back to typical function key settings, but the setting is forgotten once the keyboard is removed from USB power. The home key is where the forward delete key normally is, and there is a windows-style PrtSc 'print screen' key where the home key generally is. I'm unfortunately one of those people who have the bad habit of spilling liquids on my keyboards. After going through three mac name brand keyboards, I decided I needed a cheaper option.

If you don't mind the USB cord, this keyboard is a great option to replace a mac keyboard without paying the big bucks. It's decent for the price and does the job effectively. I like that the keys are neither too sticky nor too soft, as I've felt with some keyboards, as it allows for fast and efficient typing (at least for me). In fact, I've used it to type this review! Works very well on iMac. I should not have any issues at this VERY LOW COST, but it would be better for me if it had those little flip out legs on the back to get a better incline (personal taste, handled just fine with a strip of wood under the back), and I really wish the keys had more of a tactile/rubbery surface (hard plastic with some texture). That could be remedied by applying a flexible keyboard cover, BUT nobody makes one (trust me) for this layout.

Overall however I would definitely recommend this keyboard due to its good performance and low cost. As a side note, I occasionally run Microsoft Windows via BootCamp on my iMac, and the W7 Pro operating system just does not see my Apple bluetooth keyboard, so that is why I purchased this USB extended style. When I purchased this, I was iffy between getting the $50 Apple USB keyboard and this one to replace my faulty $13 Bluetooth keyboard that kept disconnecting. From what I read in the review, people said the keyboard feels cheap. Honestly, it's not as bad as how people make it out to be.

If you look closely, it is tile keys similar to the Apple keyboard, it's not as low or as firm as the Apple keyboard but I don't find myself missing a stroke but not giving enough push. It's a little clacky but for a less than $20 keyboard, I like it. I typed this whole review on it.

What I can say to the manufacturer is, just like my old BlueTooth one, you should try making one with an silver body with white keys. I bought this keyboard as a temporary until I get the Apple one, but after typing on it, I think I can learn to keep this. I only give it 4 stars because it doesn't blend in with my other hardware and being OCD as I am, I do like things to match.

The no USB ports doesn't bother me because I have 3 USB hubs in active use. I think people who give this a bad review are greatly exaggerating. They're expecting Apple quality for a $16 product which is ridiculous. Wanted this to work so much I asked for a replacement after the first one but the second keyboard had the same problem. Num lock won't turn on so 10 Key pad numbers do not work. I tried everything suggested online and in the questions section to get it to turn on including the FN key but nothing worked.

The indicator light never lights up and the numbers never work on both the 1st and 2nd keyboard. Will be sending back both and now back to searching for an affordable keyboard for my Mac computer. Hello Shelley, Thank you for purchasing the MKEYE. We're sorry that the NUMLOCK light does not work. Please note that ALL MACS have num lock light automatically enabled.

So even if you press num lock on or off it will still be on regardless. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Please use the link provided below.

Solid, decent keyboard. It's a Mac wired USB and has all the media controls and it's a full size for my big meathook hands. It's not backlit and the keys just border on feeling a little cheap but I don't use it for gaming. It's also solid white which may show dirt and the key labels are stickers.

So eventually expect those to slide off but hey, it was 15 bucks and it works fine. Pleasantly surprised by this affordable, dependable keyboard. Worth it if you need something quick and fast while you save up for that Razer Black Widow. Of course, given how horrible iMacs are for gaming, I wouldn't use a Razer with a Mac anyway.
